The Indorama Polyester Industries Polyester facility is located in Map Ta Phut, Thailand, adjacent to the National Petrochemical Complex. The facility was acquired by Indorama Ventures in August 2008. Unoperational at the time of acquisition, the facility restarted production in December 2008.

The plant is virtually back integrated with the TPT Petrochemicals PTA facility. The facility is also supported by a 55 MW cogeneration plant located next door and operated by TPT Utilities Company Limited, a subsidiary of TPT Petrochemicals.

The facility employs Tuntex polymerization and Fleissner, Neumag, and Murata textile technology and has a current annual capacity of 285,000 tons. We are in the process of converting a portion of the existing polymerization capacity into a PET resin line which is on schedule to become operational during the second half of 2009.

Indorama Polyester Industries produces polyester fibers, yarns, and chips, serving customers in the main end use markets of apparels, home textiles and technical textiles, with an extensive range of products for all sectors.
