Entreprise Indorama PTA Montral Produce its First Kilowatts/hour of Energy with the Turbine
24 July 2015 - Entreprise Indorama PTA Montréal produced its first kilowatts/hour of energy with the turbine and produced with an average power of 3.2 megawatts during the weekend, which is equivalent to the consumption of 940 homes.
The addition of the turbine allows the company to recover steam previously released to the atmosphere, significantly reduce our electricity consumption and even eliminate the noise generated by the event at the exit of the Technical building.
Although performance tests are still ongoing, the results achieved so far are outstanding. Given the complexity and scope of the project, we must congratulate those who contributed to this success and in particular the members of the project team. This project will help us reduce our energy consumption, it will also allow us to reduce our processing costs and make our PTA competitive on the market, a real asset for the company and a step towards sustainability and respect for our environment.
