Bangkok, Thailand - 11 November 2011 - Auriga Polymers Inc., the U.S.A. subsidiary of Indorama Ventures PCL, has been honored by being named an Economic Champion for 2011 at an awards luncheon held by the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce. Auriga Polymers, which has a PET manufacturing plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and offices in Charlotte, North Carolina was one of only 10 outstanding companies whose confidence and collective investments are providing a healthy economic climate for upstate South Carolina. Attending the awards luncheon was Bryan Moore (1st left), Business Development and Technical Director, Tammi Harrison (2nd left), Human Resources Manager, Prabhushankar Srinivasan (3rd left), Senior Vice President and Operations Head for North America and Juan Flores (4th left), Vice President of Operations.

Indorama Ventures currently has 27 sites in 14 countries globally and plays a role in the economy of each area through best labor practices and prioritizing the welfare of its employees at each site. The company acquired the major polymer assets of INVISTA in North America in March 2011 and has driven output upwards, strengthening the business during the economic downturn.
