Indorama Ventures and IVL foundation, together with Faculty of Fisheries, Kasetsart University have established the “Marine Waste Trap” Innovation Award. The awards will encourage and enhance knowledge on the waste management and separation to a young audience. The competitors hope to discover an innovative model of trapping waste to reduce the waste leakage into the marine environment. This is aligned with Indorama Ventures’ wish that no fully recyclable plastic becomes marine litter.

At this stage, we have come to final round of the awards. We are seeking potential partners to conduct pilot testing, to ensure the effectiveness of the waste traps in real situations.

We strongly believed that raising public awareness on reducing the amount of waste, together with PET recycling knowledge, will help prevent the mismanagement of plastic waste.
