Indorama Ventures PTA Montreal Sponsors Construction of Birth House in the Community
In some regions, birth houses in the community offer mothers and families the choice to safely give birth to a child in a home environment rather than in a hospital. In collaboration with the CSSS Foundation (Foundation of Health and Social Services), Indorama Ventures PTA Montreal has recently contributed 10,000 CAD (7,875 USD) in donation to the construction of a birth house nearby their site. As of February 2021, the construction of the birth house was complete and preparations are in place to welcome families. With this initiative, the company hopes to help provide a healthy and complete system for childbirth and care in the community.
