Indorama Ventures Packaging Ghana Limited (IVPGL) started an education program on “Waste Segregation and Recycling Awareness” with a local school in Tema Comm. 2, Ghana.

In 2022, the IVPGL team has trained 13 teachers in Salvation Army Basic School (SBAS) about the type of plastics as well as the importance of PET and recycling. Including assisting the SBAS teachers in providing the session on waste separation and PET recycling to over 270 young students.

The program aims to provide effective socio-environmental changes throughout the execution plan, as well as create awareness and promote IVL’s recycling education in the local community. Over 500 small booklets on PET recycling and the plastics world have also been distributed to students and teachers participating in this program.
