Education plays in important role in helping society to understand sustainability. Recycling education can make this happen as recycling delivers less waste and fewer greenhouse gases. As part of our purpose - reimagining chemistry together to create a better world - IVL is committed to making a positive and long-lasting impact through education.

Commencing in 2018, our recycling education program has been teaching hundreds of thousands of school children to dispose of their waste correctly to ensure it will be taken for recycling. Now our goal is to educate one million people worldwide by 2030 about the 3Rs: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle

This year, as we are scaling-up our recycling education program to a global scale. The Corporate CSR team has developed new education materials called “Waste Hero Education: Reduce to Zero” – written and tested by teachers themselves. This was achieved in partnership with the Yunus Foundation, a leading non-profit organization promoting sustainable development with a global network.

“Waste Hero Education: Reduce to Zero” consists of 19 lesson plans and materials designed for global audiences ranging from kindergarten to university students. These materials were developed and tested by a group of educators and experts from 17 countries across 4 continents. The content is organized around three core pillars: Recycling Fundamentals, Creating Zero Waste, and Building the Circular Economy.

Within five months of this collaboration, we reached over 170,000 educators and students worldwide. “Waste Hero Education: Reduce to Zero” materials have been used in classrooms and design workshops for eco-entrepreneurs globally.

You can be part of our global recycling education and help to promote it to your key stakeholders. The materials are available for download at www.indoramaventures.com/waste-hero
