Now in its second year, the “Uplifting Waste Collector” program, implemented in partnership with Trash Lucky, continues to build skills and improve livelihoods for local waste collectors in Bangkok, while promoting better waste management and a more circular economy.

The three-month program focuses on strengthening capabilities such as business etiquette, financial literacy, waste sorting, safety procedures, and the use of technology—helping to boost efficiency, enhance professionalism, and improve participants’ quality of life.

This year, 12 new waste collectors joined the program alongside returning participants from last year. Together, they completed more than 300 high-quality collection jobs, diverting over 30,247 kilograms of recyclable materials from landfills, including more than 3,745 kilograms of post-consumer PET bottles sent to our recycling facility in Nakhon Pathom.

Beyond its environmental benefits and support for local waste collectors, the program also creates shared value for our startup partner, Trash Lucky, by strengthening their business model through meaningful community engagement, measurable social impact, and contributing to a more sustainable future.
